Live your Dream 2018/19

Last year's Soroptimist International London Club gave two Live Your Dream Awards to young women who had run into challenging situations in their lives but had higher goals in mind. These two women made the changes necessary to fulfill their dreams. They arranged to return to their studies and work towards bettering their lives. They reached out of the known, into the unknown and with the help from women's organizations in the city, and financial support where possible, they continue to support their families and complete their studies.

"I never imagined when I applied for these awards that I would win not one, but two. I was in my fourth year of my Honours Specialization in Criminology as a single parent, which you can imagine comes with a lot of struggles, especially financial. Winning these awards was huge for my five year old daughter Addison, and myself. As a result of these awards I was able to pay down some of my debt, which in turn allowed me to return to University this year to work towards finishing my second degree, being a major in Psychology. The women and this entire organization has been nothing short of excellent, their compassion for helping women succeed is astonishing. I could not thank them enough and look forward to the day when I can give back to this organization by donating money to help another young woman in my situation."       ~  Ashley Chief​

Ashley won the Soroptimist London Live Your Dream Award and went on to Win at the Regional level.
